Biography

Committed, capable, and compassionate, Jeff’s client-centered approach is grounded in strong family values and a lifelong dedication to social responsibility.

Raised in a family deeply rooted in advocacy and public service, Jeff was inspired early on by powerful role models. His grandmother, Mary Broadbent, volunteered in early advocacy efforts supporting women and children affected by violence. His father, Dave Broadbent, was a union activist and founding member of the Canadian Auto Workers. His uncle, Ed Broadbent, served as a Member of Parliament and federal party leader. Their example instilled in Jeff a profound commitment to standing up for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Since 1994, Jeff has made Sault Ste. Marie his home and has maintained a strong presence in the community through active volunteerism. Family continues to shape his life and work, supported by his wife Franca and their children Carly, Nicholas, and Emma.

Jeff understands the devastating impact an injury can have on individuals and families. During some of the most difficult moments of their lives, clients are often forced to confront powerful insurance companies with significant resources. As a strong advocate for the vulnerable, Jeff advances each case with determination, dignity, and dedication — working tirelessly to secure meaningful results and help clients rebuild after serious loss.
